This is the so called "The Jacobite" service which runs between Fort William and Mallaig along an 84 miles long scenic route. This locomotive
45212 is one of the series that were called "Black 5". It was built by Armstrong Whitworth at their works in Newcastle in 1935.
British Rail gave it the number 45212 after the great nationalisation of railways.
