1.  What is NumX ?

NumX is a programmable ActiveX calculator control. 

Features:

NumX is a programmable ActiveX calculator control.
It is running under Windows9x, Windows NT and Windows 2000, has more than 50 built-in mathematical functions and supports decimal, hexadecimal and binary number formats. Advanced functions like integration, root finding and extremum finding are also included. 
NumX supports any number of user-defined variables and user-defined functions. A programming interface lets you add functions written in VC++, VB etc.
Dual interfaces and compiled code make NumX an extremely fast control.

2. Requirements
VB 6.0 runtime libraries. Latest MFC 4.2 runtime libraries.
Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher

Windows NT : Service Pack 4 or higher.

The MFC 4.2 runtime libraries can be downloaded from
http://activex.microsoft.com/controls/vc/mfc42.cab

The VB runtime libraries can be downloaded from
http://support.microsoft.com/download/support/mslfiles/Vbrun60.exe


3. How to install NumX
Extract the the archive NumX.zip or numxxxx.zip to a folder on your hard disk and run setup.exe or execute setup.exe from within the archive.

4. Installing NumX over an existing version
It is recommended to uninstall any previous version before installing a new one.

5. NumX is shareware
The program is fully functional within a 30-day trial period. If you want to continue using NumX after this you need to register NumX.

6. The NumX archive may be distributed freely. It may however not be altered and must always be distributed as a whole.
