The Mouse Philosophy |
The game is entirely controlled
with the mouse. If you don't have one, then you are in trouble !
Mouse actions have been thought to accomodate with one or two
buttons mouse devices (Mac mouses have only one button) ; so,
when speaking of the mouse's left button, it means also the
mouse's single button.
Dragging (manually moving) Cards
To move cards (can be a single card or a group of cards) press the mouse left button when over the cards to move and drag the cards through the playing area to a new location while holding the left button pressed. Whether you drag a single card (2) or a group of cards (1), the procedure is the same. The game rules dictate when and where cards can be dragged as a group or not ; if the cards you intend to move are not allowed to move, the drag will trigger nothing. When you drag cards over an eligible target (a card or an empty pile that accept the dragged cards), the target will be highlighted (3) ; you can then either release the dragged cards (they will snap to their new location), or continue to move the dragged cards to another target if any. If you release the cards over no target, the dragged cards will return to their original location.
Fast Moving Cards
Cards can also move without being dragged ; this is the fast move. When over the cards to move, press the mouse right button (or press the Ctrl Key + the mouse button for single button mouses) ; the game will search for available targets and, if any, will automatically move the cards to the best new location. Caution ! If no target exists for the cards you want to fast move, you get a score penalty ; a warning sound is played when trying to fast move cards that don't have a target that accept them.
Dealing The Stock
In Stock Games, clicking the top card of the stock pile deals the stock, clicking an empty stock pile redeals the waste pile (if any).
