There are 2 versions of RingRing, Pro and Lite. The 2 versions have the same functionality, except:
- The Pro version allows longer ringtones to be sent.
- The Pro version has no limit on the length of the ringtone. The Lite version only allows a ringtone with 40 notes to be sent.
- The Lite version is free. The Pro version is not but can be purchased at a small price. It can be purchased at http://XvisionNow.tripod.com.
If you have the zip file "rrlite-win-1-0.zip", you have the Lite version. If you have the file "rrpro-win-1-0.zip", you have the Pro version.

INTRODUCTION
RingRing allows you to send free ringtones to any Nokia mobile phone.
RingRing accept the established-standard RTTTL (Ringing Tones Text Transfer Language) format. You can obtain many free RTTTL ringtones on the Internet. Just do a web search (using Google helps).
RingRing requires your PC and Nokia phone to have an InfraRed (IR) port.
HOW TO INSTALL
Unzip the file you downloaded. Inside, you will find 1 exe files. Copy the exe file to any directory that you want.
You can also choose to rename the exe file to just "RingRing.exe".
Launch the exe file and you are ready!
REGISTRATION
If you have the Pro version, you will need to register first. Start RingRing and you will be prompted to enter your UNLOCK CODE.
To register, email the following info to j_ixe@hotmail.com
- Name and email address used during the purchase of RingRing Pro.
- Name of the app you bought.
- PERSONAL KEY. This is shown on the Registration screen. This key consists of 8 alpha-numberic letters. Valid letters are digits 0 to 9 and alphabets A to F.
You will then receive an email reply within 1 business day containing your UNLOCK CODE. This code consists of 12 alpha-numberic letters. Enter this code EXACTLY in the registration screen and tap on the UNLOCK button.
Do keep your UNLOCK CODE for future reference.
Please note, if you do not register and unlock your copy, you will not be able to send a long ringtone.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Windows 95/85/Me/NT/2000/XP.
- PC with an IR port.
- A Nokia phone with an IR port.
HOW TO USE
It is very easy to use RingRing.
- Paste or type your RTTTL ringtone into the big textbox.
- Enter the phone number to SMS the ringtone to.
- Activate your phone's InfraRed. Align the IR port of your phone with your PC.
- Click Send.
RingRing will send the ringtone to the mobile number you entered using SMS. You can use your own phone number to send ringtone to yourself. Or you can send it to your friends.
You can store your RTTTL ringtones in text files. You can then open the text files in your text editor to copy and then paste into RingRing. The zip file includes some RTTTL samples that you can copy to your device and use in RingRing. You can search online for your ringtone. The ringtone must be in the RTTTL format. For example, you can use "RTTTL britney" as your keywords in Google. You can then copy the RTTTL text from your browser and paste into RingRing.

The RTTTL format, also know as the Ringing Tones Text Transfer Language, is basically text that describes the notes in a ringtone. It is a standard that is used widely on the Internet and ringtone world.
You can find many RTTTL-formatted ringtones on the net. This will provide an endless source of new ringtones for your phone.

The phone number you use to send an SMS in RingRing must contain only digits. No space, symbols, and letters are allowed. However, you can use a '+' sign at the beginning of your phone number to indicate an international number.
- Delete the exe file from your device.
