Lufthansa's D-AIXC is one of their newest planes. It is an Airbus A350-900 bearing the name of Saarbrücken. It was delivered in March 2017.

Lufthansa's Airbus A320-211 D-AIPC is painted in Star Alliance colours. It was delivered to Lufthansa already in November 1989, then moved to Germanwings in 2003. It came back to Lufthansa in December 2004 and has been in Star Alliance colours since April 2014.

Lufthansa's Boeing 747-400 D-ABVX Schleswig-Holstein looks huge when viewed at close range. It was delivered to Lufthansa in November 1999. Here the plane is just being prepared for a flight to Dallas. It was a B747 version 400. In 2014 Lufthansa got a new B747 version 830 which got the same name Schleswig-Holstein but this is the first one with that name.

Lufthansa's D-ABYG is of the type Boeing B737 version 8, the largest jumbo jet subtype so far ever built. This one is named "Baden-Württemberg" according to the similarly named German state in the south of the country. This machine was delivered to Lufthansa in March 2013.

Lufthansa's D-AIDV is an Airbus A321 version 200 painted in retro colours of Lufthansa. The machine was delivered to Lufthansa as new in 2012.

Lufthansa's D-AIDK is one of the few planes which already in November 2019 had received Lufthansa's new livery with a black tail. The machine is an Airbus A321 version 200 named "Iserlohn".

D-ACNM seen here landing at the München airport is a Canadair regional jet CRJ-900 delivered to Lufthansa's daughter company Eurowings in 2010. Here it is already in Lufthansa's new livery and flying for Lufthansa CityLine, which is their regional services operator.

Austrian Airlines OE-LBZ is an Airbus A320 version 200. It was delivered to Lufthansa in June 2012 and moved to the daughter company Austrian in October 2016 where it immediately received its Star Alliance special colours. At Lufthansa the aircraft had the name Esslingen. At Austrian it carries now the name Obertauern.

Austrian Airlines OE-LWA is an Embraer ERJ-195 which was delivered to Lufthansa CityLine in October 2009 and moved to Austrian in January 2016.

Austrian Airlines OE-LBM is from the year 2001. It has been earlier serving LTU, LTU Austria, Air Berlin and Austrian Airlines. It is an Airbus A320-200 and it has been at Austrian Airways as "Arlberg" (earlier also as Austrian "Marchfeld") since 2013.

Another Austrian Airlines A320 machine, the OE-LBM is from the year 2001. Prior to Austrian, it has been flying for LTU and Air Berlin. It joined the Austrian fleet in 2013 and it carries the name "Arlberg". Note the blue belly of the aircraft. That's from those times when Austrian did not yet belong to the Lufthansa group but was an independent company which belonged to the so called European Quality Alliance centered around what then was Swissair. That alliance told all the companies belonging to it to paint the bottom parts of their machines blue. The whole alliance went belly up when Swissair went bankrupt and Austrian, Swiss and some others joined the Star alliance.

Austrian Airlines A321 version 100 machine OE-LBB is being pushed out of its gate at Paris CDG. This machine named "Pinzgau" was delivered to Austrian already in 1996.

Air Dolomiti is a company registered in Italy, but it is 100% owned by Lufthansa and its home base is München. This machine is an Embraer ERJ-195LR (also known as ERJ-190-200 LR). This I-ADJP was delivered as new in 2012. It is christened as "I Puritani di Vincenzo Bellini".

I-JENB is another one of Air Dolomiti's Embraer ERJ-195LR machines. It flew formerly for Lufthansa Cityline as D-AEBC. It entered service at Lufthansa as new in 11/2009.

I-ADJU is again one of Air Dolomiti's Embraer 195LR machines. It was taken first time in use in June 2009 and it flew first under the colours of Lufthansa Regional operated by Augsburg Airways and then 2013 to 2017 under the name of Lufthansa Cityline. Since 2017 it has carried the colours of Air Dolomiti. But of course all the time it has been a Lufthansa machine.

Germanwings is a wholly owned subsidiary of Lufthansa which operates as a low-cost carrier. The former Eurowings, which acted as a short-haul carrier is now its sister company. Lufthansa has announced that it would get rid of the Germanwings brand and replace it with the Eurowings name, because the fatal crash of one of its Airbus A320 planes spoiled the reputation of Germanwings so badly. The crash was caused by a pilot committing suicide.However, still in 2018 the brand Germanwings is visible, although all operations take place under the name Eurowings.
D-AIQB is an Airbus A320 first taken in use by Lufthansa in 1991. As this picture was taken, it was already taken over from Germanwings to Eurowings.

D-AGWC is an Airbus A319 now in the new paintings of Eurowings. It was delivered as new to Germanwings in January 2007 and now in 10/2017 moved to Eurowings.

Swiss is nowadays a subsidiary of Lufthansa. This new machine is a Bombardier C series machine. The type was renamed to Airbus A220 after Bombardier sold the whole production to Airbus. Swiss was the launch customer of this type. This is the version A220-100.
